This one is for Cheri

Cheri is a good friend and neighbor who reminds me often that I need to be updating my blog by showing my projects. I must say I have been slacking and feeling unmotivated to update my blog because I do not have much to say. So here is what I have been up to lately.
I forgot my sister's birthday (I know I am terrible sister). To make up for it, I made her this quilt for her baby's crib. She had all the bedding minus the quilt. This was made clear back in September.
This is a picture of my nephew Croy in his crib with his blanket.
My mom was so kind to buy us our first major purchase for our future baby. We decided to pick one that was generic so we would not need to worry if it is a boy or girl.
Don't worry, I figured out how to girlify it by adding pink, bows, flower, etc. I enjoyed making the car seat canopy until it came to the handles. It was a little tricky with the handles being crocked. Anyone who knows me, knows I figure out things the hard way.
Last, but no least. I made cute shoes for our future baby. It all started when 4 ladies at work announced they were pregnant with girls around the say time. 1 due in April, 2 due in May and 1 in June. So, I had some other staff help me throw a combined baby shower for the 4 of them. I made each a pair of booties. I am so addicted to shoes for myself and children, that our poor child will have more pairs of shoes then she will know what do with. I know shoes are unnecessary for babies, but who can resist when they are so cute.
Here is the website that I got the pattern from

Look for Bitty Booties
Adoption update: We have officially transferred our information to A Act of Love. We have been busy collecting paperwork and taking required classes. In case you didn't catch on, we have told them we would like a girl, because I will be totally obsessed with making her look cute. Hopefully we hear something by this summer. Keep us in your prayers please!

Okay... if that's what you do for someone when you forget their birthday, you can forget my birthday any day!!

Love the Verna on the car seat.

THANKS for the post, I do love to see what you make as you are one of the most talented people I know!! I'll miss you when I'm gone BUT when you update your blog(yeah!!!), I can still see what you make!!

I'll keep you in my prayers to get your little girl (or boy... I know you would take either and love them just as much!!) this summer.

I also found those booties on HB after I saw them. They are soooo cute!!!

Thanks, again, for the post. Next time, you can just take a picture of anything in your house because I know you don't stay still for a moment... and everything you do is great!!!

I do heart heart heart the quilt. It completes his crib set. I can't believe how much he's grown since that day.

I love the car seat canopy. It's adorable. And those shoes, ahhhh...it makes me want a girl too.

You do need to keep posting. I don't get to see you anymore, busy lady. I miss you:)
