December 2011

The month of December was a little bit crazy for us. We went to Idaho to visit Levi's grandma and attend the early Christmas spaghetti feed. We had a lot fun visiting with everyone and playing games with Jason and Molly.
Zoe and Lex with Mr. and Mrs. Claus

Lex and Zoe playing with Grandma Goose.

Zoe attended her friends 1st birthday party. Zoe loved all the treats they had a the party. There was a table just full of candy.
Zoe carrying her gift for her friend, Journee.
Zoe wasn't feeling well so we stay home most of the time. We decided to stay in our pajamas and decorate cookies.
Spreading the frosting.

Add some sprinkles and have a taste test.
 Christmas Morning
This was waiting for us Christmas morning.

Coming down the stairs to see what was left under the tree.

Since Zoe was sick she has been watching a lot of Toy Story 1, 2 & 3. So we got her a Jessie doll. She ran to her presents picked up her Jessie doll and pulled the string. Jessie said, "Yee Haw!" Now Zoe walks around the house saying, "Yee Haw." It is so cute.

Zoe opening her super cute peep toe shoes she just had to have or at least her mother had to have for her.

Cute and cozy pajamas from Grandpa Todd and Grandma Marnie.

An outfit from Grandpa Steve and Grandma Joan.

We had to take breaks for drink. Apparently unwrapping presents makes you very thirsty.

A barbie from Cousin Tatum.

A alphabet toy that plays in English and Spanish from Uncle Cooper.

Zoe's very own laptop in hopes that she will stop fight us for our iPads.

Pictures and money from Grandma Goose. It is such a cute picture.

Zoe's wagon that she loves and wants to ride in all day long.
Like I had mentioned earlier, Zoe had been pretty sick. We were worried that she might have asthma and a allergic reaction to something. She responded well to medication and breathing treatments and at this point we are in the clear. The Dr. said she will not diagnose her with asthma unless she has more wheezing episodes. I am just happy that she is back to her normal self (playing and laughing with a bit of attitude).
After all the unwrapping Zoe had to take a break and have a breathing treatment.
 Family Christmas Party
We got together at Sandra's parents house Christmas afternoon. We played games, ate dinner and visited. We had a lot of fun.

Dawson, Samm, Muriel, and Cody

Sandra, Levi and dad (Steve)
The day after Christmas, Zoe decided to check out her box of dress up clothes. She is so much fun to play with. She brings so much joy and happiness into our lives and we wouldn't have it any other way.

 Preparing for Christmas
The day after Thanksgiving we played Christmas music while we decorated and danced around the house.

Our Christmas tree

Levi helping Zoe decorate the tree.

Zoe was having so much fun pulling out decorations and adding them to the tree.

Zoe is a great helper. She did not stop until we were finished decorating.

Enjoying a snack after all her hard work.

As the Christmas season has come upon us I have been thinking about the many blessings I have in my life. I daily think of Zoe's birthmom and the sacrifice she made for us to have our little one who brings so much joy to our lives. This Christmas has been so much fun. Zoe shows so much excitement about the tree, lights and presents. We will be lucky if we make it to Christmas with at least one present in its original Christmas wrapping paper.
I have also been blessed with an amazing husband who makes me laugh everyday. He has brought so much happiness into my life. He takes such good care of Zoe and me. My life would not be the same or fulfilled without him.

I hope all of you have a wonderful Christmas.

Halloween Happenings

We took Zoe to the pumpkin patch to pick pumpkins for our front porch.
Zoe enjoyed riding in the wheelbarrow and looking at all the pumpkins.
Zoe sat on the trackers.

Here is a sneak peak at Zoe's Halloween costume. She is a garden gnome.

Several of our friends and neighbors put together a carnival for the kids.
Zoe getting a flower painted on her face.
Zoe trying to eat a donut off a string. Look at her tongue.

She kept trying for a very long time.

Almost there.

Kristi and Journee

Valerie and her cute family came. I just love their costumes.

Hendrix and Zoe decorated and ate cookies together.  See Zoe below.

This is a cute video of Zoe trying to eat the donut then she gives up and just grabs it. I think it is pretty cute.
