Counting My Many Blessings

1. The Temple
I am truly blessed to live so close to a temple. It has been such a wonderful experience watching the temple being built.
Beka, my wonderful neighbor told me that the Angel Moroni was being put on the temple starting at 7:30 in the morning. That morning I got up early and headed to the temple. I was so prepared with the camera, but failed to realize the batteries were dead. I went home and grabbed my cell phone hoping to return before anything had changed.

Don't worry. I made it back in plenty of time. By 8:30 a.m. I had to leave to get ready for the day and meet up with a friend. I returned to the temple around 10:30 a.m. and found the steeple placed on the temple.

I went to Robert's and Gardner Village and returned to the temple around 12:00 p.m. where I found the Angel Moroni placed on it. My timing was terrible, but I still enjoyed seeing the different stages of it all.
The temple is to be completed around the beginning of 2009.
2. The Lake

Another blessing I enjoy is the lake. Levi and I go as often as we can. We love taking the rowboats out. It is so peaceful and relaxing.
Our first attempt at row boating was not the most successful. It takes a great deal of coordination to maneuver one of these. For the first little bit we paddled in circles. After we figured out how to row straight we decided to chase the ducks. They are sneaky creatures. They duck under the water and then swim away. Then we would turn the boat around and start chasing them again. This did not last very long.
3. My Hubby, Levi
Levi is the most amazing man I know. He is the most kind-hearted person. We have so much fun together and I could not imagine a better person to spend my time with. I am truly blessed that he was willing and wanting to be with me forever.
4. My Parents
I have the greatest parents ever. I love being able to talk to my dad about the church and genealogy. I hope to be as knowledgeable as he is one day. My mother is so sweet and kind. She is the best at listening. I can talk to her about anything.
5. The Gospel
I know the gospel is the only place to find true happiness. I love sinking myself into the gospel and enjoying the peace that comes with it. I love the feeling of knowing the Heavenly Father loves me and is always watching over me.
6. Good Books
I love reading good books. I enjoy the feeling of reading a book and wishing it never ended. I am reading "You Can Never Get Enough of What You Don't Need" by Mary Ellen Edmunds. It's a great read. I have already learned so much and I am only on chapter 4.
7. Cute Fabrics and Paper
I have an obsession with cute fabrics and Paper. I love being able to create quilts and scrapbook layouts with them. I cannot get enough of that feeling when I have accomplished or created something I am proud of.
8. My Kitties
I know, I know. Here is the crazy cat lady again, but they never fail to surprise me. I love waking up every morning looking for objects the cats have hidden or torn apart during the night.
9. Adoption
I am so excited for the day our lives will be blessed with adoption. I look forward to meeting the birth mother of our future baby and holding our baby for the first time. I am sure it is going to be a magical moment.
10. Looking Good
I know this sounds vain, but what I really mean to say is...I love the feeling of putting on a cute outfit and feeling sexy. That is one of the best pick me ups ever. A day when my hair does what I want it to and it all just comes together.

I am going to stop now. I am afraid I could go on and on and on. I do not wish to bore you. I would love to hear what your blessings are, so please leave a comment.

My New Kitten

Here are the pictures of my new kitten, Allie. She is so sweet and cuddly. She snuggles next to me at night. She is very playful and gets into trouble too.

One day I came home and found one of my plants on the floor and shredded. I guess she was trying to tell me the plant was not flowing with the rest of my decorations.

Luckily Rigby and Sadie love Allie. I love seeing all three of them curled up together.

I thought this was a cute picture of Rigby and Sadie.

I do not know how Sadie does not wake up with a sore neck after sleeping like this.
I know I probably sound like a crazy cat women, but I love my kitties. They keep me company when Levi is out of town and they comfort me when I am sad. Plus, Rigby is amazing at playing hide-n-seek with me and Sadie is loves sharing my popcorn.
